How to minimize hospitalizations from Covid-19

CNBC recently put out an article titled “CDC study finds about 78% of people hospitalized for Covid were overweight or obese (Jr., 2021).”As an exercise physiologist, I can immediately offer some insight. Keep in mind, this is my opinion on the matter, I am not a doctor, epidemiologist, immunologist, virologist or expert in infectious diseases. Fitness, in regards to health and exercise, is a combination of a few general measures that can be objectively determined. These measures may include, but are not limited to: height and weight, resting heart rate, blood pressure, body composition, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, muscular power, agility and speed. With these measures, one can determine level of ability, general health and quality of life.
